Second up in this segment is Mr Gradwill Graig Pool a respected Educator and "Pioneer" in Afrikaans. Avid Tottenham supporter and has featured on JCBA Sport United before on a Rugby post way back in 2011. So I guess welcome back is in order!

In any professional sport the ultimate challenge is winning! If you don’t win – you are second and if you are second people tend to forget you. That is why I respect Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson – because they know how to win. This is evident in their trophy haul over the past few decades. Manchester United is a champion team because they win soccer matches. And I don’t even like Manchester United…don’t know why! But you have to give credit where credit is due.
As a Tottenham supporter, I expect the same. No excuses! Win your matches then you win trophies and people respect you. As a Tottenham supporter you unfortunately learn how not to get involved in championship title talks. Simple reason: We don’t win enough of our BIG matches against other title contenders. AVB must learn that if you leading against one of the BIG FOUR teams, you close shop. How many times has Spurs led verse one of the BIG four this season? I think almost every match. To take 4 out of 6 points against Manchester United is a mini-title in itself. Well Done Totties! But then again how many of those matches did we end up losing. Damn you AVB – Learn to “KAP TOE”!
Tottenham will finish THIRD this season. We have the following matches remaining: 30/3 Swansea (A); 07/04 Everton (H); 14/4 Chelsea (A); 21/04 Manchester City (H); 27/4 Wigan (A) 4/5 Southampton (H); 12/5 Stoke (A) 19/5 Sunderland (H). So FOUR away and FOUR home! It’s easy, it will come down to the last home match against Sunderland and them sitting in 15th place right now – we will probably thrash them 4-0 [Defoe with a brace]. It is about time that we teach Everton a lesson at the Lane. We just seem not to know how to beat them in recent matches. Except for Chelsea and City then – I expect Tottenham to win their remaining fixtures. Southampton, Stoke and Sunderland are all currently in the BOTTOM-HALF of the log – so they will be feeling the pressure and probably make a few mistakes in defense and we can cash in and score plenty!
Under AVB we have once again played some attractive footie but we're too inconsistent to really challenge for the title and like I stated earlier threw away a lead against the top teams on many occasions. Vertonghen has been a revelation in defense and scored the odd crucial one. A fit and injury free Defoe and Lennon showed their class and importance but after injuries again we lost that penetrative edge on attack. Parker is all class and Mousa Dembele a crucial signing who will still produce a lot of quality performances. Gareth Bale is world class and at Spurs he has grown into that role of match winner per "excel lance"! I must say I’m surprised that Bale is still plying his trade at Tottenham but I am definitely not complaining. Add Modric to the mix and I know that we would've been challenging for the league right now. Modric however, just had to go and join the ONLY ONE at Madrid [to ensure Manchester United’s elimination from the UCL] we breed and groom them perfectly at Spurs!
On the negative side – against Liverpool we showed signs of the OLD Tottenham's defensive frailties. That is a major concern – because if our defense messes up, they do it to the MAX! Hope we stay focused and continue with the attacking football, creates chance and score plenty of goals.

I commend your belief in your teams ability can't say I agree though,
for two reasons: ONE Bale has to stay fit because Spurs just don't have the depth of the likes of United, City & for that matter Chelsea. TWO They play Everton then go to the Bridge and then welcome City to the Lane all in April (Besides Europe). Thereafter they face teams in bottom half and those are far more demanding in the last few months of the season than in the first.

Ronaldo keeps on winning - Fifa Best Player Award

Cristiano Ronaldo was named the world's best player at the inaugural Best Fifa Football Awards in Zurich. Real Madrid and Portugal forward Ronaldo, 31, beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to the prize.
